Almost Comatose

Okay, what's been going on . . .

1. Tour the world with my kick-awesome band ... check
2. Play Stonehenge (yes, as in go to Stonehenge and play a gig) ... check
3. Make lots and lots of money ... check
4. Buy a coffin shaped guitar ... check
5. Play Freebird ... check

Yeah, it's been a busy week.

I am talking about Guitar Hero II of course ... remember?
I am WAY in love with this game. I can't stop playing it. It is too much awesome fun for words. It is more fun than a Wii or a PS3.
Okay, I've never actually played either of those, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. :)

Here. Allow me to elaborate --
Two words:
__War__
__Pigs__

Holy crap!! Do you have ANY idea how awesome it is to be completely musically inept yet able to freaking jam on the guitar to War Pigs??? I'm almost comatose from the excitement.

Another cool thing about it is learning about new songs that I never really would have listened to otherwise. Killing In The Name Of by Rage Against The Machine is one of the most fun songs to play on the game so far and I barely even knew that song before. I'm actually thinking I might need to go and get some of their music now. So fun!! ::trying to control myself from getting up and going to play before finishing this entry::

Then of course we have the awesome Strong Bad song, Trogdor! Damn, that one is hard. It is a bonus song, I had to buy it with some of my gig money. Which is fine. So far I've made like $14,000. I think Trogdor only cost like $600. Totally worth it.

And last but certainly not least, the absolutely *most* fun song to play has to be YYZ by Rush. It has so much cool stuff in it. No really, I'm serious, it is the most fun one to play.
Rush is kinda cool. I might have to get some of their stuff too. Defintely this song. It is greatness.

Misirlou by Dick Dale is a lot of fun too, but I can't figure out why I always score so low on it.

Okay, that is as long as I can stay away. Playing all of these songs on You Tube while I write this entry isn't helping any.

Obviously the guitarist from Black Sabbath does. That song is one of the worst ever. :)

Hey I know how to play YYZ on guitar! But as for anything by Sabbath, I wouldn't bother.

Sorry Jamie....Sabbath is crud. But we still love you.

And like GPF said...RUSH IS KINDA COOL is an overwhelming understatement.

Also, think long and hard about getting into Rage Against The Machine. It's not something you listen to on a casual basis. It pisses you off - sometimes you need it though. Rage gets me thru the hard days in life - ah the ol' iPod never lets me down.

But if you listen to enough Rage, you might burn a building down somewhere.

I don't see myself getting TOO in RATM, but that song is totally fun to play. But I am glad to now know what I'd need to do in order to get in the mindset to burn down a building, should that need ever arise. :P

Good lord, sounds like a cat fight in here. Helloooo??? Isn't individuality a wonderous thing...we all like different stuff and it's all alright! hehe ;-)

Dude, I hear ya on the Guitar Hero....Tracy's munchkins are hooked on it and whenever they bring it over, Mikey won't let them play...he hogs it up. LOL.
