Short Letter To Zooey Deschanel
Dear Zooey,For the love of Laszlo, please please PLEASE make a CD. I could listen to your voice all day, every day, for the rest of my life but currently there's only one song I can turn to when I want to hear it . . .
Not that I don't love this song, but I need more! And I'm pretty sure there are a few billion other people that agree.
Sincerestly yours,
Jamie
Until she comes out with a CD, you can just keep coming here to hear her sing. Or just watch the movie it came from because it's great too.

She has such a 40's cabaret singer vibe. She reminds me a lot of Peggy Lee.

:)
She actually sings in a cabaret act in L.A. called If All the Stars Were Pretty Babies. That would only be the coolest thing in the world to hear live.

"Baby It's Cold Outside" has a long rich history of duets pre-Elf. If this means that you've suddenly decided to start listening to vocals, you should also try either the version Ella Fitzgerald did with Louis Armstrong, or the one she did with Louis Jordan. Or both.
Zooey was in Weeds this past season as Andy's wacko ex-girlfriend who had tried to kill him in Alaska when he accidentally stepped on her spirit animal but then she tracked him down in Agrestic, and tried to talk him into running away with her because she had stolen a ton of casino chips and she needed to make it down to Paraguay to cash them in before Abumchuk the bounty hunter grabbed her.
In other words, she can do more than sing, she can also say "I just want to lick the space where your toes used to be". You're missing all that because of your cable-hating ways.
