Childe Roland **

This has to be cool. Why am I always the last to find out about stuff?

Karma Police
Finally awakening my subliminal Radiohead love. We have so much catching up to do. There is actually a bizarre story to go with this realization - have you ever felt like music was hunting you down? Well, it was something like that.
Man I love this song ...

The Pandora get together was awesome. Tim Westergren is a fantastic speaker with tons of interesting and inspiring stories to tell. Or rather, it is just one really long and fascinating story with tons of turns and twists. Many Houstonians showed up at the Angelika theater for this get together which I thought was really great - I just love being around and meeting new music lovers!
In the meeting Tim spoke at great length about how Pandora has developed from its beginning in 2000, the kick-awesome effects of the SaveNetRadio campaign, the current status of the internet music royalty rate negotiations, and he also gave some very interesting insight into exactly how the Music Genome works. I think it would have been really groovy to meet Will, the mastermind behind the structure and functionality of the Music Genome, but sadly he was not there. Tim also answered a slew of great questions from the audience.
I think it is really cool that Pandora is so proactive about seeking and gathering this information from its early adopters; there are so many people that wish to contribute.
Go and listen to your Pandora station now, or if you don't have one, make one. :)
