Good News
An email I just received from GoDaddy.com:
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN(R)) recently agreed to reduce their Registrar Transaction Fee from $.25 to $.22. What does this mean for you?
Good news. You have been credited $.03/yr for each domain name you registered or renewed dating back to July 1, 2006* -- $.12 has been placed into your Go Daddy(R) account.
Your in-store credit will be applied to your purchases at GoDaddy.com(R) until it's gone or for up to 12 months, whichever comes sooner.
Wow. That IS good news. Twelve cents! I should probably read more to understand what inspired the need for this $.03 reduction per domain name registration, although I am getting quite the good laugh out of it as it is.
Hmmm, I have a scathingly brilliant idea:
How about *instead* we have ICANN redirect everyone's $.03 over-payments to the Copyright Royalty Board. I'm totally up for that. Do you know how many registered domains there are out there??? Try somewhere in the neighborhood of 120 million. I say let's fairly disperse the $3.6 million across all Internet Radio entities, agree to NOT increase the royalty rates at all, and call it even. :D
Man, that was easy. I totally have all of the answers.
... what?

Jedi Mistress
I just found out that Think Geek finally has the Yoda light saber!! I've been whining about them not having it for years!! I've always wanted one. I'm totally adding this to my Think Geek wishlist. I've also always wanted a scaled model of the Millennium Falcon. So far I don't have either, but the Yoda light saber is much more affordable than the Millennium Falcon I've had my eye on.
I also need to find out how much a Pod Race arcade game is. I need to have one of those at my house too.
Star Wars toys are Teh Jedi. (<< new phrase I made up just now, please try to use it several times today. It means "kick-rad-awesome")

I'll Take 3
It would be cool if we all had one of these. I mean I know they aren't exactly fostering quality family time, but they're so freakin' cool!!
. . . and only $45,000 each! Yeah. Send me three.
I believe this would go well with my idea to try to decorate the inside of my home to look like something from Star Wars or Myst.
Sooome daaay . . .

Hot Pink Purple China Glow
I revisited with my old friends Stone Temple Pilots this morning. It was very enjoyable. Of course I'm just talking about a CD - Tiny Music... Songs From the Vatican Giftshop. I used to be the BIGGEST STP fan and I still love them a lot, I just hardly ever listen to my STP CDs anymore for some reason. But the music is so good and there is just something about the way Scott Weiland writes that makes me very, very happy. ::siiiiiiiigh::
Speaking of "for" (see above), they are about to go on tour. Check this out. Isn't that cool? I think so. Except for the fact that the map is mocking me --- stupid not being able to go to any of those shows.
No, the tour is some definitely awesomeness. Exciting!
I got my XM car receiver, I'll let you know how I do on installing it. I'm going to have fun breaking it in when I drive to the N.O. Jazz Fest in a few weeks - I'll probably just go the 2nd weekend. That will have to rule, although I am going to need to do much more research on what's up with N.O. as far as staying there goes and all. I know things are MUCH different than the last time I was there, so I'm just not sure what to expect.
