Trivialities
Someone told me that I am "a total Austin chick" the other day. It was obvious that she meant this as a compliment, and I received it as such, but also I found it to be very curious. Then, being me, I began to think about it entirely too hard and wondered 1.) how I came to accept that as a compliment and 2.) why it was making me feel guilty. I never really came up with any great answers.
I suck at interactive online Scrabble. So I've only played two games and have so far refused to read any of the documentation that came with the install, but I really doubt that has much to do with how bad I am and why I don't understand how it works. The main thing I can NOT get used to is the timer. You can't time Scrabble!!! Hello? Rules schmools; when I play Scrabble we each get endless time in order to come up with that perfect word. Coolness is measured by the length of time it takes you to play a word. The longer it takes, the cooler you are. At least, that's how things work in The World According To Jamie.
Thanks Natalie!! :)
My thoughts on Friday . . . Got Kleenex?
Recently I've become [predictably] interested [predictably late] in Ze. His vlogs are pretty funny, but I've actually been having way too much fun with his flash toys. Especially this one.
I know, I'm easy.
Here's a question for you: What if . . . . . . . ?

I would guess that by calling you an "Austin chic" they meant you need to shower more, "smoke" less and stop wearing flip flops.
If someone told me that I was a "Louisiana dude" I would take it to mean that I need to eat less fried food, learn to speak English, stop having kids with kin and stop getting drunk before 10am.
I'm sure it was a compliment.

mmmmm ... airquote smoking ... (yes, I know those are actually *real* quotes and not airquotes, but I also know that they were intended as airquotes which is why I said that)
Louisiana dude?, who was talking about you??!! And why would anyone call you that anyway?
Sheesh.
You know, now that I think about it ... I'm probably not nearly as much of an Austin chicK as you are an Austin dude.

If you ever . . . EVER call me an austin dude again, I will cry like a Euro.

What, Austin dude? Your Austiny references are totally bizarre to those of us from outside ATX-dome.
But I did see something about crying and that sounded kinda good, so I'm hoping for that.
...don't spend too much time on 6th Street ... in your flip-flops ... and with your "smoke" ... and try to remember to shower at least once a month. Or more if you think you can manage to get away with it without being kicked out of Austin.
ttyl Austin dude!
:D

Cool!! I need to figure out how to find you and everything, although now the weekend is over and we are back on No Time For Hours Of Scrabble Time. Lame.
