Ten Backwards Is One
Aaaahhh, do you enjoy the insightful tidbits from the mind of my five year old as much as I do? I doubt it. Not only did he enlighten me to the fact that 10 backwards is 1, but he also dared to assert that 100 backwards is 1 as well. He rules.
I can barely believe that school starts in 2 days. My son will be in kindergarten and my daughter will be in 5th grade. Wow.
I spent entirely too much money on school clothes, but BOY are my kids cute!!
After living in my house for over a month I finally decided that yesterday was the appropriate time to buy a kitchen full of groceries. For the occassion, I selected Whole Foods as the grocer-of-choice which is appropriate because along with the new house is a new family diet (primarily vegetarian in nature). I've been wanting to do this for quite some time, and am excited to now be able to finally enact it. We'll see how it works though - I am a bit concerned about making sure the kids get all of the nutrients that they need. I am aware that I will be having to pay more attention to this than I am used to, but actually I probably wasn't paying enough attention to it in the first place, so all in all this seems like a good idea.
Oh and in case you were not aware of it....Homestar Runner rules.
(I had to have at least one link before finishing this entry, no?)

Soy crumbles make an excellent alternative to meat in tacos. Boca makes a soy crumble/ground meat alternative as well as meatless burgers and chicken. I regularly eat Nate's products which includes 'chicken style' tacos. Other good vegetarian products include Amy's who makes good pizza's and entrees, Cedarlane Products who make entrees, Celentano's who makes Italian dishes as well as Mexican style foods and Yves, who makes meat alternatives including lunch and breakfast 'meats'. These are all available at Whole Foods.
