And the house is named....
Behold:
After I spent ENTIRELY too much time thinking about it, I had the brilliant idea to enlist the kiddos for help. So the house name ended up being more about being fun and catchy than fraught with profundity. I think we made the right choice.

My house is called "Apartment With Loud Ass Neighbors Upstairs".
Oh wait.....doh!
Congrats on the house. Oh I mean...congratz on da hizzy. Or something. :)

Well, what are the odds of that? I also had a house named "Apartment With Loud Ass Neighbors Upstairs". I later renamed it "Place where the landlord screwed me out of my deposit".
Ms. J, does this mean that you and your lovely children will be sitting in rapt attention every Tuesday evening in front of one of public television's enduring documentary staples? Or does it mean that you will be spending every morning eating tasty smoked salmon on a bagel with a schmear? Please advise.
*PS: Please note when you follow the link that the enduring public television documentary staple will be rerunning the MER programs on the 12th and 19th. Live MST3K-style commentary via cell phone during these broadcasts is available by request.
*PSS to the blog proprietrix: No typing the S word(name) in here! Capisce? Capisce!

Nino - thank you for the "congrats" and the "Or something" - I'm not feeling so thankful for the other stuff you typed there though - :P :)
Future Mrs. - Yes, the Tuesday thing. You got it - that is exactly the reason we selected that name.
Not.
However, Nova, the documentary staple, does rule. The hijos and I have been known to enjoy it a time or two in the past....and I see more good things coming up. Rad. We may take you up on the MST3K thing. Fun!!! Geek.
Nova on a bagel does not sound good to me. And I am pretty sure my children would agree.
The weird thing is that you missed the most obvious Nova reference - did you forget about my affinity for old 70s headmobiles?? Dude!

nova: from latin, feminine of novus, meaning "new".
lair: a wild animal's resting place, esp. one that is well hidden
so it's a feminine, new, well hidden, resting place for wild animals... :)
