Market L7

Thursday night smooth jazz in Market Square in the Woodlands. Awesome. It was SO great. I mean how many other places do you know of where you can take a picnic, grab a spot on a nicely manicured lawn and listen to great music while experiencing this cool, small town atmosphere vibe? This is what is going on in "Central Park" at the new Market Square in the Woodlands. It is pretty spectacular. I mean, the perfect weather was defintiely a factor, but I'm thinking that I am going to be catching more of these great little outdoor jazz concerts. If you are anywhere near the Woodlands next Thursday night, you should too!

Feeling Marvinish and Having Cooties

Okay, well this is the week. This Friday HGttG (<-- that is what was decided, right? I think I still prefer H2G2) is coming out and apparently I am going alone. ::sniff::
After several failed attempts at trying to get some people together to go, I've come to realize that I apparently make everyone's Cootie-ometers just beep and blink like crazy.

.....stupid Cootie-ometers...always giving me away.
Does anyone know where I can pick up an ozone-friendly can of Cootie-Be-Gone??
Remember playing Cootie? I LOVED that game when I was a wee girl. Fun and cute.......how was I to know that one day I would find the Cootie at the root of my untimely demise???
Okay, well maybe not my demise , but still, I'm kinda bummed out nonetheless.

::laugh-snort:: (I wasn't awarded the esteemed title of DQ for nothing, you know).

Fictitious Hot T

Han Solo is a hottie. ::sigh::

Yes, this is today's Star Wars trivia from my daily desktop calendar. Feel free to answer it if you think you can.

I got it right. :)

HMR and Drinking Herbs

Houston Music Roundtable
Awesome.
Last night I attended the 2 year anniversary party of this most excellent group. It was definitely a fun and inspirational night. The Houston music scene is alive and kicking, let me tell you.

It was also a night of weird drinks. What is even weirder is the fact that I was drinking weird drinks (since I'm usually content to sip on a glass of ice water all night long).

I had a thing called a Strawberry Basilrita. I mean if it is being offered, how can you NOT have one of those???
...at least that is how I feel about it, anyway. So I did. :P
It was cool - there were strawberry slices and huge pieces of basil floating in the pink margarita liquid. It pretty much tasted like a regular margarita though.

Then there were the Mojitos. The entire bottom third of the glass is mint leaves and it is mixed with rum, sugar, and lime (or something tangy??).

I dunno, I was apparently just really in the mood to have foliage floating in my glass last night.

I didn't think I was being too affected at the time, but today I feel as if I've had some sort of herbal blood transfusion or something. Hard to explain, but it is actually kinda cool.
Says me.

April Twenty-nine, Two Thousand Five

I'm officially countiung down the days. It would be SO fun to go and see this as a group...anybody with me?? I guess it would help if more people read my blog, but we'll see...

Zaphod is a HOTTIE!! Has anyone ever been able to come up with a reason for why I pictured him as having blue skin and no hair....on either head?? Seriously, that is how I pictured him the entire way through the Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide. Yes, the Diva Plavalaguna had blue skin too and no I don't think that has anything to do with it. :P
And Marvin!! He doesn't really look all that depressed from what I've seen, but I suppose I should reserve commentary until I see the movie. That is what I get for not having ever tuned to the radio or tv series.

I even have the perfect shirt to wear....with my towel.....even if it is 26 days early.

w00t!!
